Wow! This is my very first blog of all time! I do have a story to tell…don't we all! Before I go deep, I'd like to give you a little background about me…the me that is definitely me! I'm unique…aren't we all! I was born in the 50s, the 4th of 5 children and the second daughter with Congenital Glaucoma. I was fortunate to be born to strong determined, educated parents. My father was a college graduate, a Navy Lieutenant and a rancher and my Mother a Registered Nurse and Lieutenant in the Women's Army Corp. Aside from medication training and school issues, they treated me no differently than my siblings and told me that I could be anything that I wanted to be.What I wanted to be was able to see like everybody else. I was always the different one; the girl with the thick glasses, the large heavy school books and the one who couldn't read the black board without walking right up to it! Yes, when I went to school, the white boards were black and we used that stuff called chalk! Well, I survived school in spite of the challenges with peers and self-image. I went on to college where I encountered my first life change…More later...
